Tony Roberson
I am an ICT professional, systems manager and software developer with more than 17 years of experience. My work spans ICT management, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, systems administration, databases and custom software development.
As an ICT Systems Manager and Head of the ICT Vision Pillar, I combine day-to-day technical responsibility with long-term ICT strategy, infrastructure planning and technology leadership. I have led projects involving network redesign, server modernisation, Microsoft 365, cloud services and custom systems that improve organisational processes.
Software development has remained an important part of my career. I have designed and built applications for asset management, learner and administrative systems, timetable generation and other operational workflows.
This combination helps me understand both the organisational requirement and the technology needed to meet it, from planning a solution to building and implementing it.
My BCom in Information and Technology Management combines technology with business and management. I graduated from MANCOSA Cum Laude and was recognised as the programme's Top Achiever.
Alongside my systems engineering qualification and Microsoft credentials, I am an Embarcadero Certified Delphi Developer. My ongoing professional development includes Microsoft 365, VMware virtualisation and cloud infrastructure.
Roberson Technologies brings this experience together. I start by understanding what an organisation needs: advice on its ICT environment, stronger infrastructure, less manual work, connected systems or a custom application.
